Eid festivities conclude at Katara with 4 days of endless fun for children

The Eid Al-Adha festivities concluded at the Cultural Village Foundation ‘Katara’ in style on Wednesday attracting a large number of visitors.

The diverse entertainment activities catering to different age groups and interests kept visitors engaged throughout the four-day Eid Al-Adha celebrations at the cultural village. Children made the most of their holidays enjoying the array of fun games in a dedicated area for them. They also indulged themselves in swimming, boating and artistic activities in a safe atmosphere. Furthermore, the Katara administration distributed gifts and boxes of candies to the children, to add to their delightful experience. Meanwhile, a captivating musical show was performed before the visitors by the Police Training Institute followed by presentation of Qatar’s National Anthem. 

Besides, the third in the series of 3-D films on space entitled ‘The Astronaut’ was screened on the fourth day of Eid Al-Adha at Al Thuraya Planetarium on Wednesday. The Arabic version of the film was shown at 5pm and the English at 7pm. Adel al Ansari, general supervisor of Eid Al-Adha festival at Katara, said: “We were keen to provide an integrated festival catering to different sets of audiences, hence the diversity of events. We wanted to provide wholesome entertainment for the entire family.” Ansari thanked the audience for attended the festival in large numbers to make it successful. He stressed that Katara is getting increasing popular among visitors for the wide range of its offerings in terms of festivals and other activities.

The day’s programme concluded with a spectacular fireworks show on Katara beach.
